John’s letter was written to his adopted mother Mary to encourage her 1) by being warned of false teachers, but that the truth of Jesus will protect her; 2) to keep loving God and others; and 3) that God loves her in truth… And so it is for us!

If we are to “be the bride in 2015”, it is our responsibility to “be on the alert” – watching for the return of our bridegroom, Jesus Christ. Three specific signs to watch for this year are 1) the economy 2) the rapture of the Church & 3) the return of the Jews to Israel. So as we see the storms brewing on the horizon, we are not to fear, but instead be comforted by the assured hope of seeing Jesus face to face!

We get a rare look at a war in heaven between Satan and the archangel Michael, in which Satan is ultimately kicked out of heaven… Today we learned: 1. Satan is the accuser of the brethren; 2. if we are at odds with Satan, then we can overcome him with the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, & by not loving our lives unto death; 3. when we accuse other saints, we are “satanizing” them; 4. we must never be found guilty of anti-Semitism; 5. there will be a time when all that is written will take place… Are we ready???
