Jen was born and raised in Kalihi on the island of Oahu. She is the youngest of six children and a graduate of Farrington High School (Go Govs!). After 1-1/2 Years of going to college, Jen decided if she would make it in this world, it would not be reading books or manuals. Jen hit the work field and started working as a Bank Teller at International Savings. She then became a cashier at Gems, where she pursued her future husband, Charlie, with a free lunch from Dairy Queen. It was their 1st date, and it was FREE. Jen was swooned by how Charlie wanted to take care of her and look after her, and the rest became history. Jen and Charlie married in 1994, and had their first son, Chazz in 1996. In 2004, she became pregnant again, and gave birth to her youngest, Cyrus, that December.

Jen and her ‘ohana started attending One Love in 2012. She first served in the Women’s Ministry, then later met the Worship Pastor and began serving on the Music Ministry in 2013. She dubbed herself the “Unofficial Admin Assistant of One Love’s Music Ministry”, implementing the idea of creating a calendar to schedule the rotation of musicians monthly. She also served occasionally with the AV Ministry hosting the Online Live Streams, which were only on Facebook back then. Jen is an avid crafter and also spends a lot of time creating gifts to bless the Body of Christ.

Although Jen and Charlie never had the desire to move off island, in 2019 the Lord called them to move to Washington state, to live in a home big enough for her family, including her son Chazz, her daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Due to the lockdowns in 2020, Jen was called to continue serving remotely on both the Music and AV Ministries, from Washington. Thus allowing Jen to join the staff at One Love in August 2021. One Love has since expanded to not only stream live on Facebook but also on their own website, YouTube, and the newly added Rumble, all of which Jen hosts online simultaneously during each sermon.

Jen loves working behind the scenes and helping others achieve their goals. If she is unable to help you with organization, creative ideas or simply make you laugh, she will surely help by feeding you! One way or another, you’ll get a little bit of Jen in your life.
